Kerryn Wise

Movement-based artist, researcher and performer based in the East Midlands.

As a dance practitioner Kerryn has always been fascinated by the intersections between technology and the live moving body, the juxtaposition of flesh and visceral movement with notions of digital intimacy. Kerryn’s work is interdisciplinary and often draws from visual art, photography and film, frequently working in non-tradition venues and spaces creating alternative performance experiences for audiences, that reshape their spatial and perceptual senses.

Kerryn is currently undertaking a practice-based PhD exploring the experiential impact of using 360 video within live immersive performance practices and is a QuestLab Network Artist at Studio Wayne McGregor.

Kerryn’s latest work Exposure, which merges 360 video and live performance, will be presented at Per/Forming Futures, Middlesex University, 11—13 April 2019.
